Kathmandu (Pahichan) November 26 – Homosexual and transgender community has been a part of 16-day campaign against gender violence.
‘Home peace is basis of world peace’ is a slogan of this year’s campaign. Deputy Director of Blue Diamond Society Parshuram Rai put his signature on 16-day campaign on the behalf of society. Rai who reached Ratnapark Shanti Batika signed on paper with a purpose of creating pressure. “Not only women, homosexual and transgender women are facing discrimination and violence from home, society and state,” said Rai.
Nepal Federation of Gender and Sexual Minority Simron Sherchan said members of this community are facing problems as family would not accept this reality. Program Director of Federation Gauri Nepali said it is wrong to say that gender violation means only man and women.
