Kathmandu (Pahichan) July 1 – Singer and Musicians Visan Mukarung has said that pink colour of transgender is one of the colour of seven colours. According to him, if one colour is removed from this, Indreni will not remain and we have to give a different name to it.
“Similarly, society will remain incomplete without gender and sexual minority,” he said adding that gift provided by nature should be kept in a well manner.
He said it is a sad that members of homosexual and transgender are facing discrimination. “They are like male and female, so they should not be discriminated,” he said.
He regretted for not singing any songs in favour of homosexual and transgender. “Your question made me very serious, I have not thought about it yet, now i will think about it” he said. He said artists are the mirror of the society and they should accept the reality of the society.
He said there is discrimination due to the lack of knowledge about this community in a large chunk of population.
He said it is a matter of happiness that members of this community are receiving citizenship and passports as per their identity.
