Chitwan (Pahichan) July 2 – A cultural program of transgender has concluded in Chitwan. The program was organized by Manab Sajet Samaj and funded by District Development Committee Chitwan. Chief District Officer Shrawan Kumar Pokhrel said transgender are equal with other citizens.
He said budget has been allocated for the homosexual and transgender to maintain equality in the society. She said such cultural programs are helpful to give a message that along with man and women, there are sexual minority in the society.
He said society should accept all the existence in the society. The program was presided by Chairman of Society Anjali Thapa Magar. Program Coordinator of Samaj Dev Shrestha provided the welcome speech. He said society should accept the transgender.
Transgender from various districts participated the program. They demonstrated their skills. More than 20 transgender demonstrated their skills.
