Kathmandu (Pahichan) July 14 – Artist Sushant Karki has said that there should be equal treatment to transgender in the society. Speaking to Pahichan Radio program, Karki said all the citizens are equal.
he said human is the only caste in the world and all people, transgender, homosexual, inter-sex, male and female are equal. He said it is a sad that homosexual and transgender are portrayed in a negative way.
He said that he personally feels bad when LGBTI are projected in a negative way. He said though there are some LGBTI people in the cinema sector, they have not been able to disclose their identity. He said rights of LGBTI will be ensured if they come up with their identity openly. He said that challenges still remain to bring laws according to constitutional provisions. Karki said all people should help gender and sexual minority.
