Kathmandu (Pahichan) October 20 – Singer Kamal Khatri has said that there is discrimination against gender and sexual minority due to the lack of awareness in the society.
“Due to the lack of awareness, there is discrimination against this community,” Khatri said, “There is a lack of knowledge which has triggered discrimination against this community,” he said adding that without knowledge that LGBTI exists in society, discrimination will be continued.
He said people should not be discrimination for their separate identity and they should be allowed to live with dignity. He said even the singers should be aware to sing songs.
He said transgender themselves sing songs. He said that they have seen that members of this community are engaged in dancing and other things.
