Kathmandu (Pahichan) November 7 – Film Director Pradeep Bhattarai has said that social attitude towards homosexual and transgender is gradually turning positive. He said everyone should accept this community created by nature. “God imparts separate nature, tendency and structure to the people.
I do not see any bad in the society as I was grown up in the University of Maha Jodi,” Bhattarai said adding that Madan and Hari Dai taught that everyone is equal in the society. “From my view, I do not see any discrimination. All are equal,” Bhattarai said.
He said the tendency of expelling the members of this community from society and country should be ended. He said formation of people could be different but all people are equal. “Members of this community should not harm the society and they should not face discrimination in the society.
He said every people have the right of living according to his or her interest. He said that there are discussions and debate in western countries about legalizing the same-sex marriage. “I do not know detail about it but it think but it is better if we legalize the same-sex marriage,” he said adding that it is a cheap subject to present members of this community as mock character in the cinema. He said it is not suitable to mock the members of this community in the cinema and it should be ended.
