Kathmandu (Pahichan) December 14 – Singer Nikhita Thapa has said that there should not be discrimination to gender and sexual minority. Thapa said all the citizens are equal in the eye of law.
“I have seen a lot of members of this community in India but I do not think their lifestyle is managed. I have heard that they have not received their rights but I think it should not happen, she said. She underlined the need of formulation of laws to take action to those who discriminate members of this community.
Asked about why the issues of this community are not getting sufficient in the media, she said it is because of the lack of knowledge and songs are focused on love and other issues. She said issues of this community is getting space in the songs in the recent times. “There are some music videos of this community now there will be songs. It is also because of the lack of individual investment,” she said.
