Kathmandu (Pahichan) January 22 – Singer Udesh Shrestha has said that same-sex marriage should be legalized and it would not be otherwise if two people wish to live together. Speaking to Pahichan, he said even if there is no legal provisions of same-sex marriage two people are living together.
He said there is discrimination against the transgender which should come to an end through the awareness campaign in the society. According to him, there are no specific songs on transgender due to the lack of better understanding about this community.
“This is the first time the issue has struck me. I am ready to sing the songs of transgender,” said Shrestha, adding that there is a need of massive campaign to end the discrimination against this community. “Collective efforts are required rather than individual to make campaign effective,” said Shrestha.
