We will provide space to LGBTI : Lama
Kathmandu (Pahichan) January 31 – Chairman of All Nepal Student Free Union Nabina Lama said that that political system should ensure the representation of all sections of society. Speaking to Pahichan, Lama said homosexual, transgender, women, Madhesi, Adhibasi, Janajati, Dalit, margnalied community among others should be accommodated in the mainstream of politics.
“ANFSU should accommodate all sections because we and Nepal Student Union have a nation-wide network,” she said, adding that this community should get the space in the elections of Free Student Union elections.
“Homosexual and transgender should be first politically active and make their identity in the organization, we are ready to help them to fight election in the college level,” she said. She said the FSU election is a mini-parliament and it serves as a foundation of national elections.
She requested the members of all community to join the FSU if they want to make their identity. Stating that society is open and scientific, no one has the right to discriminate on the basis of traditional mindset.
