Kathmandu (Pahichan) October 19 – Youth leader of Nepali Congress Kumar Luitel has said both country’s constitution and party’s constitution has accommodated gender and sexual minority. Luitel said members of gender and sexual minority would get representation in all state levels.
Speaking to Pahichan, Luitel said there is negative viewpoint in the society concerning gender and sexual minority. “There will be social change after the formulation of laws as per the constitutional provisions,” said Luitel.
He said no one could prevent the representation of gender and sexual minority. He said the role of political parties is important to bring a positive change in the society.
Luitel has been recommended as election candidate under First-Past-the-Post (FPTP) category. He said that he would work in favor of gender and sexual minority if elected as lawmaker.
