Kathmandu (Pahichan) April 2 – Singer Sujata Upadhaya has said songs can be produced accommodating the voices of homosexual and transgender like women, Dalit, Janajati and other minority groups. “Songs are the mirror of the society.
The social issues could be raised from songs,” Upadhaya said, adding that she is ready to sing the songs of this community. According to her, society is yet to know this community which is contributing for the lack of literature creations.
“There are the songs in other countries about this community. In Nepal also, one or two songs are recorded. There should be continuity,” she said. She said like other marginalized community, members of this community should get the rights.
