NEFIN to mark Int’l Day of World’s Indigenous as a movement
Kathmandu (Pahichan) August 2 – International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples is going to be marked as a movement in Nepal. August 9 is celebrated as International Day of the World’s Indigenous People.
Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NFIN) informed that day will be marked as a part of continuous movement of securing the rights of indigenous people.
Organizing various program NFIN said it will organize program demanding to amend constitution in order to address their demands. On the eve of constitution promulgation, Padma Ratna Tuladhar formed a separate entity called Janajati Rastriya Andolan Nepal.
NEFIN is collaborating with Tuladhar-led organiziton to mark the day. NEFIN will organize an interaction program on constitution amendment issue.
