Binod B C/Rupandehi (Pahichan) July 26 – Transgender rights activist Sushila Lama has said that there is still discrimination to transgender. Speaking at one day documentation training at Bhairawaha, she requested members of this community not to tolerate such violence.
“There is still violence against the members of this community; we should not tolerate such incidents,” said Lama adding that everyone should inform police and Blue Diamond Society if they face any violence. She said transgender are also equal like male and female.
Lama said there should be proper documentation about the violence against the members of this community and all people should speak frankly. She said if members of this community remain silence they would not get rights. 12 representatives from Kaski, Syangja, Kapilbastu, Rupandehi and Nawalparsi took part in the documentation program operated by Lama.
