Kathmandu (Pahichan) November 22 – Nepali Congress lawmaker Ram Krishna Yadav has said that homosexual and transgender would not be denied from rights. Speaking to Pahichan Radio program, Yadav stated that new constitution has addressed the demands of gender and sexual minority. “Like in the past, they would not be denied from rights,” said Yadav.
He said in democracy all section of people should get rights. “The new constitution has missed the issue of proportional and inclusive representation, previous NC-led government has registered a constitution amendment right,” said Yadav. “Prime Minister KP Oli has expressed commitment to the proposal, so Parliament will endorse it soon.”
According to him, people from Terai, Pahad, Himal, indigenous community, women, Muslim and people from gender and sexual minority would get rights after amendments. He said incumbent government is not serious to table bill in the Parliament.
